“Donde está el peligro crece lo que salva” is a series of audiovisual diptychs that, through the operation of the fragmentation of pre-existing materials, shows new mechanical entities.
Diptychs re-elaborate, materially and conceptually, aspects of existing technology and reflect on what we might call an ontology of machines.
The work flies over the metaphor of the machine-being in which these work-beings suggest a possible future where they are able to create themselves and forge a personality.
Each diptych consists of two video loops that are displayed on two equal LCD screens of varying dimensions. The screens are mounted vertically and parallel to each other, but at different heights, forming a continues geometric relation between them through the moving images.
