Machines that think of themselves, reproduction without exchange of fluids, self-insemination. Self conscious machines.
The pulse of life, of blood and cells that form matter as we know it, is the same pulse of the machine that, tirelessly, repeats its movements.
Open and close, enter and exit, contract and relax. This are all movements of life and death that machines seems to emulate to remind us of a future that is more than possible and more than close: intelligence that no longer needs other intelligence to overcome and evolve.
The video consists of a series of sequences where, through multiple mirroring procedures, segmentation and reconfiguration of the same image, new machines are built from promotional videos found on the Internet.
