Urban intervention – Unrealized project

The project consist on the marking of the basic lines that make up the structure of a highway mimicking what might have been the three- dimensional wireframe of the object in its origin and thus returning the object back to the purity of that abstract lines constructed in the mind of the designer.

This lines wireframe generates a gateway to the Design District in Buenos Aires, a place where ideas are conceived and where everything is still possible.

The project is realized by painting black the low structure of the highway and through ribbons of adhesive reflective material on all the vertices.

The idea of “portal” is enhanced by the use of this reflecting technology that belongs to the road context but subverting its use.
