Video Performance – Three Channel Video Installation.

This is a documentation of the video-performance / video-installation made in June 2015 at MUNTREF Arte y Ciencia in Tecnopolis, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The work is based on the research of some relations between sound, graphic language and written verbal language; looking for some possible new forms of writing and interpretating of music and sound that integrate graphic, visual and verbal aspects.

At the same time the themes of these work are explored, montage reveals private research spaces of MUNTREF Centro de Arte y Ciencia through the construction of a “hybrid space” constituted by the encounter between the physical space of the place provided for exhibition and the virtual space – the projection – that poses an architectural continuity.

In this video performance, vision, gesture and action in space constitute the text to be interpreted and translated into sound through the cello, generating an audiovisual piece in which guidelines and references coexist with indeterminacy.

The work arises from an experimental study on how simple forms, points and lines distributed on a plane are interpreted as musical signs. This artistic research project rises from “PEQUEÑOS MAESTROS” project, by Cecilia Calero (UTDT – Neuroscience Laboratory) and Mariano Sigman (CONICET and UTDT – Neuroscience Laboratory).
