NUEVOS PRODUCTOS (2017) [new products]

“Nuevos Productos” (New Products) addresses the advertising graphic language linked to innovation, in an operation that, between the language of design, critical thinking and artistic thinking, formalizes a breakdown of the technological discourse.

 

The background of this work involves the problem of manipulation through images, that images that convinces us today of a prodigal future of technological progress constituted in such abstraction and complexity that no longer admits narrative nor semantic projection. Instead it’s transmitted as hard information, radically changing the nature of meaning. 

 

The work presents a series of sequences and combinations of parts of car’s interiors. This sequences were generated using an application programmed in Processing language. Each partial sequence is joined in a larger sequence that is displayed in a long digital print on photographic paper of 110cm in height and 320cm in length, although it could be infinite.
